„karriere“ Bachelor Rating 2008: MBS 2nd Best University in Germany

With its top rating of five stars received in the Bachelor Rating of the "Junge Karriere" magazine (issue March 2008) the Munich Business School scored well. The study was put out by the Arbeitskreis Personalmarketing [Personnel Marketing Research Group] (DAPM), a network of personnel managers of wellknown companies, such as adidas, Bertelsmann or Siemens. The client wanted to know which colleges prepare best for the job. 124 business degree programs at more than 70 German colleges and universities were analysed. The focus was on the concrete professional qualification following graduation. Overall, the Munich Business School landed an excellent second place for all of Germany.

Analyzed were the mediation of occupation relevant abilities such as methodical and social competence, practical relevance and the internationality of academic studies. Aside from expertise and character, the surveys showed job fitness to be the deciding hiring criterion for personnel managers. In the study programs of the colleges with the best ratings one will therefore find high educational ratios in topics such as project management, teamwork, negotiation techniques and foreign languages. Also important are placements and temporary employment abroad as a mandatory component part of the academic studies. With the trademarks of its study programs – the practical relevance, the international orientation and the intensive mediation of method competence – the Munich Business School clearly had an outstanding position for the comparison.

In these four categories a maximum of 15 points each were issued with a perfect score of 60 points being attainable. Aside from the MBS in second place with 54.9 points, only seven other universities throughout Germany scored at least 50 points with their bachelor programs, receiving the five stars.
