How to Apply - MBA General Management

Admission Requirements

Munich Business School requires all potential candidates to meet the following criteria to ensure quality and maintain standards:

  • An above-average first academic degree (Bachelor Degree or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 2 years professional experience after your first degree
  • Because the MBA program is conducted in English, all candidates must have good command of English; those who are not native English speakers are required to submit TOEFL scores. A minimum TOEFL score of 88 points is necessary for enrolment. In case your first degree was completed in English, TOEFL scores will be waived. Alternative language tests accepted are: IELTS min. level 7.0 - Academic Module; TOEIC min. 740 points; Cambrigde Certificate of Proficiency in English.


    Test results can only be accepted if achieved within the last two years.

    If you can't get a test date before your interview, you can hand your test results in afterwards until one month before the program start.
  • German language skills are NOT required.

Application Procedure

  • Candidates must be able to cope with a heavy workload during their studies and therefore we ask each candidate to write a Letter of Motivation describing his or her motivation to study at MBS.
  • Your CV, certificates and references should give us a good impression of your training and professional experience. You will find a checklist in our Application Form.
  • Qualifying candidates will be selected for a personal interview to help us determine if your profile fits the class.

Important Dates

You can apply in one of several application rounds. Each round can result in an admission offer, a conditional admission offer, a waiting list placement or a denied admission.

We strongly encourage you to apply in one of the first rounds. The rounds will have no significant difference in terms of level of rigor; the later rounds will likely be more competitive as we will have selected a good portion of the class. However, there will be sufficient room in later rounds for the strongest of applicants.

The program starts twice a year - in March and in September.
