{"id":14553,"date":"2020-04-30T15:01:23","date_gmt":"2020-04-30T13:01:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.munich-business-school.de\/insights\/?p=14553"},"modified":"2020-06-18T14:29:04","modified_gmt":"2020-06-18T12:29:04","slug":"courage-center-supports-family-businesses-in-latin-america","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.munich-business-school.de\/insights\/en\/2020\/courage-center-supports-family-businesses-in-latin-america\/","title":{"rendered":"Courage News: Supporting More Than 1000 Family Business Owners and Foundations Across Latin America in COVID-19 Times"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The MBS family is a big-one: Spread all over the world, diverse at a maximum, and most importantly: Always caring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.munich-business-school.de\/insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/courage_logo_Future-Family-Firms-1-_1.png\" alt=\"Courage Logo Family Businesses\" class=\"wp-image-14391\" width=\"225\" height=\"120\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the last five weeks, the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/courage.sg\/company\/\" target=\"_blank\">Courage Center at Munich Business School<\/a> has provided family business expertise to over 1000 Family Business Owners through its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.munich-business-school.de\/insights\/en\/2020\/courage-center-crisis-helpline-and-expertline\/\">HelpLine<\/a> initiative, its live expert interviews on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.munich-business-school.de\/insights\/en\/2020\/courage-center-crisis-helpline-and-expertline\/\">ExpertLine<\/a> (via @courage_family business on Instagram and Facebook) and Latin America-wide webinars in collaboration with the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry from the Carribean, to Central and South America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Knowledge, advise and direct help for owning families and foundations in Latin America<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, MBS and the Courage Center have particularly strong ties with Ecuador, having educated over 1500 Ecuadorian executives and business owners through programs at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.courage-center.com\">Courage Center for Global Family Business<\/a>, both in Munich and the Family Business Summit in Ecuador since 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to a deep economic crisis and a health system, that even before the corona virus struggled to supply the country with adequate medical attention, Ecuador finds itself in a truly difficult situation today. Therefore, the Courage Center actively supported, and continues to support the Ecuadorian Family Business community with <a href=\"https:\/\/courage.sg\/contributions\/\">crisis related knowledge and advice<\/a>. Since February, over 750 Ecuadorian Business Owners have participated in crisis related Webinars organized together with <a href=\"https:\/\/ecuador.ahk.de\/\">AHK Ecuador<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bancoprocredit.com.ec\/\">Banco ProCredit Ecuador<\/a> and other local partners. It is organized as a trust, audited by the local PWC office and has raised over USD 7 million to date, with a goal of USD 20 million.
