Ziel der Challenge war es, die besten Designs und Entw\u00fcrfe f\u00fcr  die sofortige und dezentrale Produktion von Notfallbeatmungsger\u00e4ten ausfindig zu machen. Beide Unternehmen stellten ein Challenge-Budget von einer Million Euro f\u00fcr Preisgelder und einen Realisierungsfonds zur Verf\u00fcgung. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aus \u00fcber 100 Einsendungen konnte das VividBreath-Team \u2212 bestehend aus MBS Professor und UNITY Senior Manager Heiko Seif sowie weiteren Vertreter*innen von PlastroMayer, Sendsor, Nemeon, UNITY und dem All India Institute of Medical Science \u2212 am 29. Juli die Expert*innen der ETH Z\u00fcrich und Prof. Dr. Dieter K\u00f6hler, ehemaliger Pr\u00e4sident der Deutschen Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Pneumologie (DGP), \u00fcberzeugen. Dar\u00fcber hinaus kann der Oxygenerator auch mit einem Ventilator betrieben werden, der bereits f\u00fcr den indischen Markt zertifiziert und getestet wurde. Dieser Ventilator erf\u00fcllt auch andere Anforderungen, sodass er nach der Pandemie noch flexibel eingesetzt werden kann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bei der Entwicklung achtete das Team stets auf eine skalierbare Produktion und eine hohe Funktionalit\u00e4t bei m\u00f6glichst geringen Kosten. Das VividBreath-Team wird ihre erarbeitete L\u00f6sung zun\u00e4chst in S\u00fcdafrika umsetzten.
