Um alles zu schaffen, was wir in der Arbeit schaffen wollen bzw. sollen, m\u00fcssen wir zus\u00e4tzlich oft Freizeit opfern \u2013 was wiederum zu Zeitproblemen in unserem Privatleben f\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n<p>Seit vielen Jahren ist der Sonntagabend f\u00fcr mich eine angenehm ruhige Zeit f\u00fcr letzte Unterrichtsvorbereitungen und zur Einstimmung auf die anstehende (Arbeits-)Woche (den Unterricht planen, Notizen durchgehen, famili\u00e4re Verpflichtungen einplanen usw.). Ich dachte immer, ich w\u00e4re der Einzige, der das so macht: Aber der Unterricht beginnt fr\u00fch am Montagmorgen und es gibt es keine M\u00f6glichkeit, sich unmittelbar davor vorzubereiten.<\/p>\n<p>GenerationY.com hat einen Artikel mit dem Titel <a href=\"http:\/\/www.generationy.com\/preparing-for-the-work-week\/\" target=\"_blank\">Getting Shit Done Sunday\u2026 A guide to preparing for your week ahead<\/a> ins Netz gestellt. Ich glaube nicht, dass der Sonntag als Tag der Vorbereitung nur auf die Generation Y beschr\u00e4nkt ist, aber vielleicht ist dieses Ph\u00e4nomen in dieser Generation weiter verbreitet? Der Artikel ignoriert allerdings den ersten Schritt zu einem vern\u00fcnftigen (Selbst-)Management und das Thema meines heutigen Blogbeitrages: F\u00fcr ausreichend Schlaf zu sorgen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schlafen Sie genug!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Es spielt keine Rolle, ob Sie sich auf eine wichtige Pr\u00e4sentation vorbereiten, eine Gesch\u00e4ftsreise antreten, bei einem sportlichen Wettkampf als Spieler oder als Coach dabei sind (der Head Coach der Philadelphia Eagles, Chip Kelly, hat z.B. angeordnet, dass all seine Co-Trainer genug schlafen m\u00fcssen), eine Ayurveda-Di\u00e4t beginnen<sup>1<\/sup> oder was auch immer. Der erste Schritt ist immer derselbe: Schlafen Sie ausreichend.<\/p>\n<p>Ausreichend Schlaf bietet viele Vorteile: Gesundheit, Denkverm\u00f6gen, Energiespiegel, weniger Kaffee erforderlich, man f\u00fchlt sich einfach besser und l\u00e4sst sich bei Verhandlungen auch nicht so leicht zu irgendetwas \u00fcberreden.<\/p>\n<p>Studien zufolge erh\u00f6ht sich <a href=\"http:\/\/healthysleep.med.harvard.edu\/healthy\/matters\/consequences\" target=\"_blank\">laut der Abteilung f\u00fcr Schlafmedizin der Harvard Medical School<\/a> durch zu wenig Schlaf das Risiko von Krankheiten und schlechtem Allgemeinzustand sowie von &#8222;reduzierter Effizienz und Produktivit\u00e4t, von Fehlern und Unf\u00e4llen&#8220;. <a href=\"http:\/\/healthysleep.med.harvard.edu\/healthy\/matters\/benefits-of-sleep\" target=\"_blank\">Dieselbe Harvard-Webseite kommt zum Schluss<\/a>, dass Schlaf nicht nur wesentlich ist, um Neues zu lernen, sondern auch f\u00fcr die Verarbeitung und Speicherung des Erlernten. Zu einigen der vielen weiteren Studien, in denen die zahlreichen Vorteile von Schlaf hervorgehoben werden, z\u00e4hlen:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Takahashi, Masaya (2012): <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jphysiolanthropol.com\/content\/31\/1\/6\" target=\"_blank\">Prioritizing sleep for healthy work schedules<\/a>, Journal of Physiological Anthropology.<br \/>\n&#8211; Gruber, Reut, Wiebe, Sabrina T., Wells, Samantha Ashley., Cassoff, Jamie und Monson, Eva (2010): Sleep and academic success: mechanisms, empirical evidence, and interventional strategies, Medicine: State of the art Reviews [2010, 21(3): 522-41].<br \/>\n&#8211; Taras, Howard und Potts-Datema, William (2009): Sleep and Student Performance at School, Journal of School Health, Vol 75 Issue 7.<\/p>\n<p>Ein m\u00f6glicher erster Schritt ist, \u00fcber einen l\u00e4ngeren Zeitraum ohne Wecker aufwachen zu k\u00f6nnen. So kann man feststellen, wie viele Stunden Schlaf man durchschnittlich ben\u00f6tigt. Alternativ kann man auch von Tag zu Tag immer etwas fr\u00fcher zu Bett gehen, bis man vor dem Klingeln des Weckers aufwacht. Und ja, das bedeutet Schluss mit Benachrichtigungen von Netflix, Facebook und E-Mails auf dem Smartphone. Das ist zwar nicht leicht, aber die Vorteile von ausreichend Schlaf sprechen offensichtlich daf\u00fcr.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.munich-business-school.de\/insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DOC-RABE-media-fotolia-1024x598.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-532\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-mh-magazine-content wp-image-532 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.munich-business-school.de\/insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DOC-RABE-media-fotolia-1024x598-678x381.jpg\" alt=\"DOC-RABE-media-fotolia-1024x598\" width=\"678\" height=\"381\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Das bedeutet allerdings nicht, dass es keine Phasen hoher Arbeitsbelastung mehr geben wird, in denen Schlaf knapp ist. Diese Phasen wird es weiter geben. Es gilt, darauf vorbereitet zu sein, seinen individuellen Schlafbedarf zu kennen und die Zeiten einzuplanen, in denen man sich Schlaf holen kann. Sie sollten zudem auch f\u00fcr <a href=\"http:\/\/healthysleep.med.harvard.edu\/healthy\/getting\" target=\"_blank\">Regelm\u00e4\u00dfigkeit der Schlaf- und Wachphasen sorgen und auf Ihre Koffeinzufuhr achten<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Jetzt ist es 23:30 Uhr am Sonntagabend. Ich bin mit meinen Vorbereitungen f\u00fcr die Woche fertig. Zeit, mit meinem Mantra \u201eSchlafen kann ich, wenn ich tot bin\u201c aufzuh\u00f6ren und mir selbst den Spiegel vorzuhalten.
