On November 10, 2016, MBS Bachelor, Master and MBA students seized the opportunity to extend their professional networks by participating in the “Recruiting@MBS: Finance & Consulting 2016” event organized by the MBS Career Center. Students who plan their internship or graduate position in the field of finance or consulting were able to chose different workshops:
- Miriam Rice, Internal Recruiting & HR Marketing at Hays, gave a presentation on “Understanding the Language of German HR – Reading Job Advertisements correctly!”
- CNC – Communications & Network Consulting, represented by Ben Curson, Managing Director, Marie von Bismarck, Senior Consultant, and Katharina Vogler, HR Manager, provided insights into “Financial Communications – More than just Figures”
- The representatives of BearingPoint, Svitlana Volochai, Senior Business Consultant, Alejandro Pinto-Keyser, Business Consultant and Bjarne Götzen, Student Trainee, used the workshop for a “Case Study on Bank Management”
- Last but not least, the students got informed about “Skillcapital at a Glance – Private Equity Advisory & Executive Search” by Wolfgang Mayrhofer, Head of Industrials DACH, Franziska Helmberger, Personal Assistant and Office Manager, and Dennis Stahl, Associate, of Skillcapital
Inspired by these workshops, the students who wanted to continue discussions or to find out about detailed career opportunities got answers by the company representatives during the get-together in the MBS Lounge. Matthias Flakowski, Manager Career Center, summarized the event: “It is great to see that MBS students detect the differences between companies even in the same industry in order to get oriented in the best way to build their ideal career future.”
