On invitation of MBS Professor Dr. Arnd Albrecht, Dr. Martin Karutz, former longtime General Manager at DSM Pentapharm, visited Munich Business School to hold a lecture in the Master students’ International Management class. Dr. Karutz, an experienced manager and consultant on the international level, provided the students with insights into the management of one of the leading suppliers of active ingredients for the pharmaceutical, diagnostic and cosmetic industry, and described the company’s market implications.
The students showed high interest in the presentation, and a lively discussion evolved on the hot topic of industrial lifestock production versus the supply and expectations of the global population, also with regard to ethical and ecological questions. In addition, the students seized the opportunity to ask personal questions in an informal setting and to network with Dr. Karutz.
