MASTER Sports Business and Communication Students Engage in Practical Project for Australian Football Club

MBS SBC Australian Football

As part of their sports marketing course, the students of the MASTER Sports Business and Communication program have started to engage in a very special practical project: Commissioned by Australian Football team Port Adelaide Football Club, the student group will support Matthew Richardson, the club’s General Manager Marketing & Consumer Business, in doing marketing analyses for an official game vs Gold Coast Football Club, scheduled for May 2017 in Shanghai, China.

Port Adelaide Football Club, competing in the premier Australian Football League, AFL, will be the first team to play a game in China (alongside their opponents, of course), aiming to drive the interest in Australian Football in the country (for additional information, please see here).

The contact to the club was established by MBS lecturer and course leader Prof. Dr. Todd Davey, a former professional Australian Football player himself.
