Munich University of Applied Sciences ranks among the top four private business schools in Germany in the field of Business & Management Studies.
Munich Business School (MBS) has been included for the first time in the prestigious QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 in the Business & Management Studies category. This establishes MBS as one of the leading private business schools in the German-speaking world.

Among the top destinations for business students
Being included in the QS World University Rankings for the first time marks a significant milestone in the development of Munich Business School. In the field of Business & Management Studies, the only other private universities in Germany represented in the rankings are WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, and ESMT Berlin.
Inclusion in the ranking confirms what MBS has consistently pursued since its founding in 1991: a first-class, internationally oriented business education that combines academic excellence with a strong practical focus. Internationality, practical orientation, and quality in teaching are the values that the university embodies every day and that are now also reflected in the global ranking.

“Our inclusion in the QS World University Rankings 2026 confirms our commitment to providing students with a first-class, internationally oriented business education and to being one of the leading private universities in Germany. We will continue to work on strengthening our position in the coming years,” said Prof. Dr. Stefan Baldi, Dean of Munich Business School.
Global benchmark for higher education quality
QS Quacquarelli Symonds is a leading international education analyst based in London and the publisher of some of the world’s most cited university rankings. The QS World University Rankings by Subject is considered one of the most important global benchmarks for assessing the quality of universities in specific subject areas. The evaluation is based on academic reputation, employer reputation, and research performance. Worldwide, the ranking serves as a key guide for students, companies, and the academic community in selecting institutions and collaboration partners.
For Munich Business School, inclusion in the QS Ranking is further proof of its claim to be among the leading business schools both nationally and internationally. With an educational program that combines academic excellence and global practical relevance, MBS has been preparing its students for successful international careers for more than three decades.
