U-Multirank 2022: Munich Business School Excels in International Orientation and Other Categories

As in previous years, the recently published university ranking U-Multirank 2022 attests Munich Business School (MBS) top marks in several ranking categories. In addition to International Orientation, the university is particularly convincing in the areas of Knowledge Transfer and Research.

The fact that Munich Business School has an extremely international student body and attaches importance to an international orientation in its study programs is far from a novelty. For years, the global university ranking U-Multirank, in which more than 2000 institutions from 96 countries participate, has awarded the university top marks in the category of International Orientation. This is also the case in 2022: In all relevant subcategories – from Foreign Language Bachelor and Master Programs to International Academic Staff to Student Mobility – MBS ranks among the top class.

But also in the other ranking categories, the 2022 edition of U-Multirank delivers pleasing results. For example, MBS can confirm its first-time top position from the previous year in the category of Professional Publications (area of Research) also this year. The situation is similar in the area of Knowledge Transfer, where the university can expand its previous year’s score from 49.18 to a remarkable 58.12 in the category of Graduate Companies and thus also ranks among the best universities in terms of alumni start-ups. In the two subcategories Income from Continuous Professional Development and Income from Private Sources, both newly introduced this year, MBS also scores the highest grade A and thus gets recognition for its broad range of executive education programs as well as the MBS Empowerment Fund, which was introduced in 2020.

Prof. Dr. Stefan Baldi, Dean of Munich Business School, is pleased with the results of the U-Multirank 2022: “I am very happy about the once again positive performance of our university in the U-Multirank 2022. It is particularly pleasing that, in addition to the area of International Orientation, in which we have been among the top performers globally for years, we are also represented three times in the top group in the area of Knowledge Transfer.” Chancellor Dr. Christine Menges adds, “This is a nice sign that our efforts and achievements in both start-up support and executive education are paying off and being noticed.”
