Prof. Dr. David Wagner studierte Management and Economics an der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg und Management Psychology an der University of Nottingham im Vereinigten Königreich. Er promovierte am Graduiertenkolleg der Europa-Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder und der German Graduate School of Management and Law in Heilbronn. Als Gastprofessor lehrte und forschte er u.a. an der McGill University in Montreal, Kanada.
In seine Forschungsarbeiten untersucht David Wagner, wie digitale Technologien Organisationen verändern und welche Strategien und/oder Fähigkeiten sie entwickeln, um mit diesen Veränderungen umzugehen. Er erforscht, wie durch digitale Technologien Werte und Innovationen geschaffen werden. David Wagner verfügt über einen umfangreichen Erfahrungsschatz im Bereich Social Media und Online Communities.
David Wagner arbeitete unter anderem in der internationalen Wirtschaftsförderung, bei verschiedenen Technologieunternehmen und als Berater für Digital Business. Neben seinem Engagement an der Munich Business School ist er als Associate Director bei der MUUUH! Group tätig.
