Munich Business School and FlixMobility Sign Strategic Collaboration Agreement

MBS FlixBus

Munich Business School (MBS) and the mobility provider FlixMobility, to which the brands FlixBus and FlixTrain belong, have signed a collaboration agreement, aimed at direct exchange and knowledge transfer between the successful startup and the Munich-based university.

As part of the collaboration, experts from various FlixMobility departments will regularly come to Munich Business School for guest lectures in order to share their practical knowledge with students from the university’s Bachelor, Master, and MBA programs.

Students will also get the opportunity to visit the headquarters of FlixMobility GmbH in Munich, and gain unique insights into the day-to-day work of a successful startup. In addition, FlixMobility will take part in MBS recruiting events – and present students with opportunities for internships, working student positions, and entry level positions.

“We are very pleased that we were able to win Germany’s flagship startup as a collaboration partner. With its brands FlixBus, FlixTrain, and FlixCharter, the company stands like no other for trend-setting innovations in the mobility sector. For our students, the collaboration offers excellent opportunities – during their studies, but also with regard to their career start,” says Professor Dr. Stefan Baldi, Dean of Munich Business School.

The transfer of knowledge from MBS to FlixMobility will primarily take place within the framework of so-called “Business Projects”. Master students at Munich Business School work on concrete business and management projects for real companies – under academic supervision, and incorporating current scientific methods. As part of the collaboration, students will increasingly deal with projects requested by FlixMobility in the future, and support the company in this way.

“As a globally growing company, we are pleased to be able to introduce the international students of MBS to the opportunities offered by FlixMobility. In addition, MBS offers great opportunities for part-time studies, which will be a good option for us in terms of employee development in the future. Just like MBS, we are a company that thinks and acts across borders, and we want to benefit from each other in practice-oriented collaboration projects,” says Franziska Bettinger, Head of People & Organizational Development at FlixMobility.

Munich Business School and FlixMobility are already working together on further activities to intensify their strategic collaboration. “We are looking forward to collaborating with FlixMobility, and to the exciting projects we would like to implement together. We are working towards building a fruitful strategic partnership that will benefit both sides,” says Professor Dr. Stefan Baldi.
