Christian Schulz

Christian Schulz is a lecturer for International Finance and Corporate Finance at Munich Business School and is currently pursuing a doctorate in the Global Executive PhD Program at ESCP Business School, where he recently completed an Executive Master in Management Research. He also holds a Master in Finance from London Business School and a Diplom-Ökonom degree from the University of Witten/Herdecke.

Over the course of his roughly 30-year career, Christian held various leadership positions at international companies. Most recently, he served as EMEIA Chief Development Officer at EY, where he spent nearly 14 years as a partner. During this time, he led the M&A practice for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, among other responsibilities, and was responsible for numerous acquisitions for EY across Germany, Europe, and the EMEIA region. Prior to that, he worked in investment banking and M&A at Morgan Stanley in London and at M.M.Warburg. He also gained extensive industry experience at Preussag / TUI and the Japanese Fast Retailing Group.

His research focuses in particular on the activities of private equity investors in regulated industries, with a special emphasis on consulting and professional services. In his teaching, he places great importance on giving students a solid understanding of finance that consistently connects theoretical concepts with questions and experiences from international corporate and transaction practice.
