A successful product manager requires a variety of technical and interpersonal skills to successfully master the complex tasks of product development and marketing. To become a product manager, a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, engineering or a related field is usually required. A master's degree or specialized training, such as in product management or business administration, can significantly improve your career prospects and give you access to higher-level positions. It is particularly advantageous to gain an in-depth understanding of agile methods, product life cycles and market analysis in order to further develop your skills in product planning and development.
