The curriculum of the Master Innovation and Entrepreneurship study program at Munich Business School is based on four pillars:

Core Modules not only provide you with a strong foundation of international business and management knowledge and the appropriate know-how to apply it to practice, they also feature a oneof-a-kind combination of subjects that go far beyond the contents of conventional business studies – making the Master Innovation and Entrepreneurship a unique study program.

Focus Modules are exclusive to the Master Innovation and Entrepreneurship and have been specifically designed to provide you with cutting-edge expert knowledge on innovation strategies, ideation and prototyping, starting and scaling a business, and much more expertise that you want to command in order to become an innovative entrepreneur. 

Two Innovation and Entrepreneurship Projects challenge your entrepreneurial skillset already during your studies. In cooperation with your fellow students, you learn how to create a startup idea and put it to practice, and how to scope, execute, and deliver an innovation project commissioned by a real-life company. You can’t wait to get your entrepreneurial career started and want to put your business idea to practice as fast as possible?

As a Master Innovation and Entrepreneurship student, you have the opportunity to skip your semester abroad at one of Munich Business School’s international partner universities in order to further elaborate your startup idea, and start your own company already before your graduation. To reach this goal, you receive continuous coaching and supervision by MBS lecturers up to the point at which your product or service is ready to hit the market. 

International Focus

Though basic business principles apply everywhere, every international market is shaped by its own political, cultural, and historical landscapes. A good share of the course work is therefore dedicated to exploring international markets, international business methods, and specific economies that are currently impacting gobal business.

During your Master studies at MBS, you choose one International Focus per semester.

Master Innovation and Entrepreneurship - Semester Abroad and Dual Degree

The semester abroad at one of MBS’s over 60 partner universities worldwide will pose an unforgettable experience for you. By spending a semester at an international university, you will expand your intercultural competencies and foreign language proficiency, and find friends for life.

European Business Summer - "Gateway to Germany"

After the second semester international students have the option to visit the summer school of Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZSEM) in Croatia. Furthermore they can attend an intensive language course in German as well as a career and application training for the German job market at the MBS (period: June till August).

Dual Degree

The cooperation between Munich Business School and renowned international universities provides you with the opportunity to earn two different Master's degrees within two years.

The general structure of the Dual Degree programs is two semesters at MBS plus two semesters at the partner institution, followed by the Master thesis.

NTNU occupies three campuses in downtown Taipei and has a current student population of about 13,000. Master Innovation and Entrepreneurship - Admission & Fees

In order to qualify for the Master Innovation and Entrepreneurship study program, you must fulfill academic, linguistic, and to some extent professional requirements.

You may submit your application documents at any time. Since the places are limited, we advise you to apply for your desired study start as early as possible .

Admission Requirements

University Education

The main requirement for admission to the MASTER Innovation and Entrepreneurship or MASTER International Marketing and Brand Management study program is an academic degree in business  from an accredited university (Bachelor degree or equivalent). 

Admission to the Master study program is possible if you have acquired at least 180 ECTS credits (equivalent to 3 years of full-time studies) during your undergraduate studies. Direct application is possible if you have acquired 210 ECTS credits.

Missing ECTS credits may be acquired retroactively during the first two semesters of your Master studies, e.g., by taking a language course or doing internships. Relevant practical experience may also be credited. Please contact your Program Advisor for additional information.

Information for applicants with non-business degrees

Applicants who have completed a non-business degree are entitled to apply for the Master Innovation and Entrepreneurship or Master International Marketing and Brand Management study program by proving 30 ECTS credit points in the business field, including at least one module in each of the following fields: business administration/management, economics/managerial economics, accounting, finance and marketing.

Applicants with no previous business knowledge have the opportunity to qualify for the Master Innovation and Entrepreneurship or Master International Marketing and Brand Management with 30 ECTS Credits by completing the PRE-Master program.

English Proficiency

Applicants must proof their English language skills by passing one of the following language tests:

  • TOEFL ibt: minimum 85 (min. 22 in writing and min. 20 in all other bands; MBS TOEFL Institution Code: 5772)
  • IELTS: minimum level of 6.5 – Academic Module
  • ELS English for Academic Purposes: Advanced Level 112

Test results can only be accepted if achieved within the last two years. If you are unable to obtain your test results before handing in your MBS application, please inform us about your planned test date.

The English proficiency test can be waived by the following candidates:

  • Applicants having completed their schooling in English (i.e., High School Diploma, IB)
  • Applicants having completed their first academic degree in English

When submitting your online application, please provide the following mandatory documents:

  • Letter of Motivation (1-2 pages)
  • Résumé/CV
  • Copies of your graduation certificates* and/or current university transcripts*

You may also upload the following additional documents:

  • recent photo of yourself (professional, in color with bright background)
  • Copy of the school leaving certificate (e.g., Highschool Diploma, IB, Abitur)*
  • Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS or ELS)
  • Reference letters (if available)
  • Scholarship application (statement of 1-2 pages)

Application Rounds

MBS offers several application rounds per year. You choose one of these rounds. We highly recommend to apply early for the planned program start as the number of university places for each intake is limited.

Selected candidates will be invited to a personal interview at MBS or via Skype (30 – 45 min).

As soon as you are an admitted student, you have the opportunity to get to know MBS even better – before making your final decision whether to join Munich Business School.

Our study advisors will of course be available for all kinds of potential questions and personal consultations.

Once you have successfully completed the application process, Munich Business School will provide you with an acceptance letter as well as two copies of your study contract. Please sign one copy and return it within two weeks to secure your spot in the program. The other copy needs to be kept for your own records.

The acceptance to the study program requires an enrollment fee of € 690 (EU/EFTA) respectively € 1,490 (non-EU) and a deposit of € 1,000 due upon signing the study contract. The deposit will be deducted from your first tuition fee installment.

If you are a non-EU national, you are required to apply for a student visa in order start your studies in Germany. To obtain a visa invitation letter from Munich Business School, which is necessary to apply for the visa, please add a copy of your passport details page when handing in your signed study contract.

Tuition & Financing

Overall Tuition Fee: € 24,000

The tuition fee is payable in three semester installments à € 8,000 or 18 monthly installments. The first rate is due upon the beginning of your studies and is be paid via bank transfer or PayPal.
Books, travel costs and accommodation not included in the overall tuition fee.

Application Processing Fee: € 60

The non-refundable processing fee is due upon application and is paid via bank transfer or PayPal.

One-time Enrollment Fee: € 690 (EU/EFTA) respectively € 1,490 (non-EU)

Potential Additional Costs

MBS BEST Scholarship

MBS BEST Scholarship is a partial scholarship program awarded to outstanding and dedicated students at Munich Business School.

In order to be qualified for the selection process, please hand in a personal statement (1-2 pages) with your application and convince us that you are the ideal candidate for the scholarship program. In this context, at least two of the following requirements must be met:

  • first University degree: GPA of 1.6 or higher (German system)
  • an outstanding performance during the personal interview
  • personal background (financial situation, family-related factors,...)
  • social and voluntary engagement

The MBS BEST Scholarship contains a reduction of up to 20 % on the tuition fees for the 1st and 2nd semester. Please note that we only offer a limited amount of scholarships. Therefore, we recommend an early application: First come, first served!
