BACHELOR International Business – Application & Fees

In order to qualify for the Bachelor program at Munich Business School, you need to fulfill particular academic and linguistic requirements. MBS offers several application rounds. As the number of spots is limited, it is recommended to submit your application as early as possible.

Admission Requirements

All applicants for the BACHELOR International Business study program need a school leaving certificate that entitles to higher education in Bavaria, e.g., Abitur, Fachhochschulreife, Matura, IB, international school leaving certificates.

As an ideal preparation for the Bachelor study program, Munich Business School offers the preparatory program Pre-Bachelor International Business.

English Proficiency

Applicants for the Bilingual Track must proof their English language skills by passing one of the following language tests:

  • TOEFL iBT: min. 85 (min. 22 in writing and min. 20 in all other bands; MBS TOEFL Institution Code: 5772)
  • IELTS: min. level of 6.5 – Academic Module
  • ELS English for Academic Purposes: Advanced Level 112

Test results can only be accepted if achieved within the last two years. If you are unable to obtain your test results before handing in your MBS application, please advise us of your planned test date.

The English proficiency test can be waived by applicants having completed their schooling in English (i.e. US High School Diploma, IB Diploma).

Munich Business School offers applicants with above-average grades the possibility of transferring to MBS at a higher semester. It is only possible to be admitted into the 2nd or 3rd semester. To be able to evaluate and determine acceptance of transfer credits, you need to submit original transcripts or certified copies, accompanied by course descriptions. The following admission requirements must be met:

  • Complete application documents
  • An average GPA of at least 2.5
  • Proof of 30 ECTS (for transfer into the 2nd semester) or 60 ECTS (for transfer into the 3rd semester)
  • Recognition of certificates and examinations for business studies to date in a state-approved university in Germany or abroad
  • Proof of English language skills and other foreign language (Spanish, French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or German as a foreign language)
  • Proof of an internship (for transfer into the 3rd semester)
  • Successful participation in the Assessment Day at MBS

Application Deadlines for Transfer Students:

  • Nov 30 for transfer into the spring term (February)
  • June 30 for transfer into the fall term (September)

Due to the varying study curricula of universities worldwide, personal counseling is highly recommended. You are, of course, welcome to experience Munich Business School live at our next Bachelor Info Day.

The written application will be assessed as soon as the application fee of € 60 has been received. Applicants will be invited to an Assessment Day, alternatively to a personal interview via Skype. Participants receive their results within 10 days. We recommend to apply as early as possible as the number of spots for each Assessment Day is limited.

Please note: You can apply up to one year in advance. If you are accepted for the program, you may also start the following year. Please hand in your school leaving certificate by program start at the latest.

Application Rounds

MBS offers several application rounds per year. You choose one of these rounds. We highly recommend to apply early for the planned program start as the number of university places for each intake is limited.

Application Rounds

The Assessment Day at Munich Business School focuses on the applicant's personality and contains

  • Personal interview on the applicant's motivation
  • Team assignment
  • Presentation of results

If you are unable to come to Munich for the Assessment Day, MBS alternatively offers a personal interview via Skype (60 minutes).

The Admissions Office informs you about the outcome of the application process within ten working days. In case of your acceptance, Munich Business School will provide you with an acceptance letter as well as two copies of your study contract. One copy needs to be signed in returned within two weeks to secure your spot in the program. The other copy needs to be kept for your own records.

The acceptance to the study program requires an enrollment fee of € 690 (for Non-EU students: € 1,490) and a deposit of € 1,000 due upon signing the study contract. The deposit will be deducted from your first tuition fee installment.

If you are a Non-EU national, you are required to apply for a student visa in order to start your studies in Germany. To obtain a visa invitation letter from Munich Business School, please take the following steps:

1. Hand in your signed study contract and a copy of your passport details page.

2. Transfer the one-time enrollment fee and the deposit of € 1,000. The deposit will be deducted from the first semester tuition installment.

Tuition & Financing

Overall Bachelor MORE Tuition Fee: € 36,400 - safe your EARLY BIRD SPECIAL now!

The tuition fee is paid in 7 semester installments of € 5,200 each. The fee for the Bachelor thesis is already included. The first installment is due at the beginning of your studies and can be paid by bank transfer or PayPal. You may request a monthly payment. Books, travel, and accommodation costs are not included in the tuition fee.

Application Fee: € 60

The application fee can be paid via bank transfer or via PayPal.

Enrollment Fee: € 690 (Non-EU Students: € 1,490)

EARLY BIRD SPECIAL: Enrollment Fee: € 490 (EU/EFTA) respectively € 990 (non-EU)

The fee is due upon signing of the study contract and can be paid via bank transfer or PayPal.

MBS BEST Scholarship

MBS BEST Scholarship is a partial scholarship program awarded to outstanding and dedicated students at Munich Business School. It contains a reduction of up to 20 % on the tuition fees for the 1st and 2nd semester (€ 4,160 instead of € 5,200 per semester).

In order to apply for a scholarship, please hand in a personal statement (1-2 pages) with your application and convince us that you are the ideal candidate for the scholarship program. In this context, at least two of the following requirements must be met:

  • an average school leaving certificate grade of 1.9 or higher (German system)
  • an outstanding performance during the Bachelor Assessment Day
  • personal background with personal and family-related factors
  • social and voluntary engagement

Please note that we only offer a limited amount of scholarships. Therefore, we recommend an early application: First come, first served!
