BACHELOR International Business – Concentrations

The Bachelor study program at Munich Business School complies with your individual strengths and interests. You focus on your future career by choosing two out of eight different concentrations for your third university year. Please note that you have to choose either Marketing and Sales or Financial Management. Each concentration will equip you with cutting-edge skills and make you a desired expert in the international workforce.

The International Sports Management concentration is aimed at you if you are interested in management questions and tasks in the field of sports. The sports industry with its increasing professionalization in all areas needs business economists who are familiar with the specific features of sports business and have the required know-how. You thoroughly get to know the economic aspects of the sports industry and the fascinating interaction of business and sports.

The courses convey basic content on sports economics and enable you to apply economic methods to the sports system. By choosing this study module, you set the course for a future job in the sports industry or qualify for a postgraduate course with a relevant focus. The concentration also provides a sound basis for the Master Sports Business and Communication study program at Munich Business School. MBS closely cooperates with partners from the field.

The International Accounting concentration conveys knowledge on the basics of international accounting and on the differences between the important accounting methods. You learn about the conception of the IASB and IFRS, the requirements for IFRS-compliant balancing, and accounting of selected circumstances in individual financial statements according to IFRS.

In addition, you gain insights into how company taxation depends on the legal form of a company and receive an introduction into the basics of tax accounting and its differences when compared to commercial accounting and IFRS. First, the theoretical skills for checking an annual statement are conveyed, which are afterwards put to practice.

This concentration deals with the issues of leadership and management on an international level, both from a strategic and an operational point of view. Corporate communication as an integral element of Corporate Governance plays an important role within the organization and the surroundings, taking into account the most important stakeholder groups.

You are taught methods of contingency planning and risk management, which, however, is not considered from the perspective of financial management in this module. You are introduced to techniques and models for corporate analyses, strategic orientations, and the development of scenarios for the development of organizations.
